Who can drive a minibus?
Any member of your group can apply to be a driver providing they meet the following criteria:
- Minibus drivers should be aged between 21 – 70 years old.
- Drivers over 70 will need to meet a higher medical standard. Contact Harrow CT for further information.
- Hold a Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme (MiDAS) certificate
- Drivers must have held a full UK driving licence for a minimum of TWO years, with either AE or B or D1 entitlement.
For full driver requirement details you can download our driver guide. All drivers must be registered with, and approved by, Harrow Community Transport.
Harrow CT has a pool of volunteer drivers who may be available to drive a bus for your organization. Whilst we are able to find a driver in the majority of cases, we cannot guarantee one will be available. It would therefore be useful if your group could put forward a suitable person who would be willing to drive.
