Outings for April-May 2026

 

Tuesday 14 April – Tulley’s Tulip fields, St. Alban’s and St. Alban’s City centre
A chance to see spectacular spring tulips, as well as a visit to St. Alban’s to visit its shops and cafes, Roman sites, museum and Cathedral, which dates from the 11th century.
Admission to the Tulip fields £13.95, carers free.
Departure: 10.00am                       Return: 3.00pm                   Cost = £9.50
In April Harrow Bus Station will be undergoing works in and around the Bus Station, the Silver Birch stop will not be available for Harrow CT to use.  Therefore, the pick-up point will be at Lansdowne Road jnc Lowlands Road HA1 3AH, opposite the rear entrance of the station, the public buses may also use Lowlands Road for stop-over parking and therefore so please arrive on time as we will not be able to wait for latecomers.

 

  
Tuesday 5th May - Osterley Park and Syon House
 Osterley House will not be open, but the grounds, cafe, shop and bookshop can be visited, admission £10.00, National Trust members free. In the afternoon we will continue to Syon Park, where the House, Gardens, Conservatory and garden centre can be visited. Full admission is £17.50, Over 60’s £16.00, Gardens only £8.00, over 60’s £6.50, slightly cheaper if booked online. Garden Centre free.
Departure: 10:00am               Return: 3:15pm                                    Cost = £9.00

 

 
Tuesday 19th May - Bourton on the Water
 A chance to visit this lovely Cotswold village on the picturesque River Windrush, flanked by low stone bridges and honey-coloured cottages. It is ideal for strolling, picnics, visiting quaint tearooms, and unique attractions like the Model Village, Birdland and Motor and Toy museum (admission charges apply).
Departure: 9:30am               Return: 3:15pm       Cost = £14.50

ALL OUTINGS LEAVE FROM THE SILVER BIRCH BUS STOP, COLLEGE RD, HARROW, JUST AFTER THE HARROW BUS STATION.

 

On the rare occasion we may have to cancel an outing due to insufficient numbers, roadworks or closure of the venue to be visited.

 

 Members are responsible for providing the relevant ID and/or proof of eligibility at the entrance to benefit from any concession.
